DortiBox 2.0 is the result of months of building, testing, and listening to the communities we serve. It is not a minor update — it is a complete rebuild of how waste management works in Freetown, designed around how people in this city actually live and pay.
What is new in DortiBox 2.0
The new platform brings three things that were missing before: reliability, simplicity, and accessibility.
Reliability means collectors show up when they are supposed to. Every subscription comes with a scheduled pickup day, and our operations team monitors compliance across all active zones.
Simplicity means you can register, schedule a pickup, and pay in under two minutes — from your phone, without visiting any office or handling any cash.
Accessibility means no one is left out. If you do not have a smartphone, you can still register and manage your waste collection by dialling 715380# from any Sierra Leonean mobile number.
Mobile money payments
One of the most requested features from our early users was the ability to pay without cash. DortiBox 2.0 integrates directly with Orange Money and Afrimoney — the two most widely used mobile money platforms in Sierra Leone.
When you subscribe, you receive a USSD payment code that you dial to complete the transaction. No app. No internet connection required. No cash changing hands.
Where we operate
DortiBox 2.0 currently serves seven communities across Freetown's Block 6 Central Business District: Sorie Town, Albert Academy, Kroo Town, Sanders Brook, Central, Murray Town, and Brookfields.
